We decided to try and rent our Vegas house out so everything in the house must be moved. We needed to either move our things into a Pack-Rat pod or it needed to fit into a Uhaul and move across the country with us. It was very hard to decide what stayed and what was going to come with us! Once the cut was made my dad and Jim very efficiently and quickly moved the things into the pod.
The pod was is a GREAT idea for us! They delivered the pod to our house and then, we just needed to fill it. Once we filled it up we just called and they come to pick it up and store it for us...brilliant! This is so much better for us than renting a storage unit. If we rented a unit we would also have to rent a truck. Then, we would have to load the truck a million times and taken a million trips to the storage unit in order to fill it. When we return to Vegas, we simply call Pack-Rat and they bring the pod back to our house.
Even though the weekend was filled with a lot of packing and moving my dad did have some time to spend some quality time with the girls.
