Dress Rehersal

On Thursday, June 12th was Abby's dress rehearsal for her dance recital. Pictures and video were not allowed at the actual recital so I took as many pictures as I could at the dress rehearsal. This year her recital was held at Cashman Center and it was a great stage.

Here are some more pictures from the rehearsal...

Here is a video I was able to get of her dance....

She did a great job at her rehearsal and was looking forward to her recital the following Saturday.

After the rehearsal we had a great lunch at Panera...YUM!

Rio Pool

The Rio pool allows locals to come and swim for free Monday thru Thursday so, on Tuesday, June 10 the girls and I met our friend's the Murphy's for a morning of swimming. We had a GREAT time and we definitely will be back for another swim!

Happy 3rd Birthday Maya!

Home Depot

On June 7th we headed to Home Depot for their monthly kid's workshop. This month, toy riding lawn mowers.

We had a great time and were happy to see our friend Declan there.

This was our third Home Depot workshop and we look forward to many more!

LAST Day of Preschool!

May 30th was Abby's last day of preschool, EVER!

It is amazing how much she has grown in the last year! Here is a picture from her first day of school...

Next school year will be crazy; not only will Abby be in Kindergarten but, Kera will be starting school too!

To celebrate the last day of school the girls and I headed to Pink Box for a doughnut breakfast, YUM!

Final picture of Abby at her old school and one of the first pictures of Kera at her new school...

Also on the 30th was Abby's picture day for dance and of course, Kera had to get all dressed up too.

Memorial Day Weekend, Part 2

On Tuesday, May 27th the girls and I took Pepe and Burrs to the children's museum. We ALL had a great time!

In the afternoon we had some fun pool time!

After dinner it was time to celebrate Pepe and Burrs visit with some frozen yogurt.

As the girls will tell you...it was good to the last drop!

On Wednesday my parents were off...camping their way back to Seattle. Till next time Pepe and Burrs!

Memorial Day Weekend, Part 1

On Thursday, May 22nd my parents arrived in town. They had left their house the previous Saturday and were camping their way to us. Unfortunately, my dad got sick in Yosemite and they had to cut their time there short so, even though I was happy to see them a day early, it is never fun to be sick away from home.

Luckily, my day was on the mend so, on Saturday morning we headed out for a family camping trip. We were a bit behind the eight ball when we decided to find a place to camp for the holiday weekend so, we ended up reserving a spot at Echo Bay. Little did we know that all amenities at Echo Bay closed down 7 years ago due to the reducing water levels in Lake Mead.

Here is a picture of Echo Bay in its hay day...

Looks like fun!

Unfortunately, today, it looks NOTHING like this instead, it looked like this...

But, we still tried to make the best of it AND the girls had a great time staying in the tent trailer with my parents. Plus, there was still the lake...

...which Chewy, my dad, and the girls enjoyed...ESPECIALLY Chewy!

In the evening we had a nice dinner.

 And of course, SMORES!

With all the activity the girls were zonked!

The next morning we headed over to Valley of Fire for a good hike.

And then, it was back to the lake.

The girls sure love to camp but next time we will research the site a bit better!

First thing on Monday we headed home. We were anxious to get out of the heat plus we were having company over that afternoon for some pool time and BBQ fun.
