On Friday Burrs and Pepe joined us at Abby's soccer lesson. Abby is doing a GREAT job in soccer and it was fun to have my parents there to see her.
During soccer Kera is usually running around nonstop but not this week...
...she was extremely content to sit in Burrs lap.
After soccer we headed to the plane park. This park is right by BWI and you can watch the planes taking off while playing at the playground. I thought Abby and Kera would really like it since they are always pointing out when planes fly by. Abby jumped right into playing but Kera was not so sure...it was quite noisy with the planes flying over. She eventually got used to it and had a great time.
After some time relaxing at home...
...we took a nice walk to our local pizza shop, YUM!
After pizza we had a belated birthday celebration for Burrs, her birthday was 4/11. We celebrated by singing and with carrot cake cupcakes.
On Saturday we went to Mt. Vernon. Mt Vernon was George Washington's house and it was amazing! We had such a beautiful day and the grounds were fantastic. I was surprised how modest the house was even though it looked so grand from the outside.
The girls had a lot of fun running around the grounds...
...and watching the sheep.
Jim has been told that his family has the same nose as George Washington, what do you think?
After Mt. Vernon we headed to old town Alexandria for lunch. What an amazing area! If I had a bazillion dollars I would definitely have a place in Alexandria! The girls even enjoyed walking around the old streets and looking at the river.
It was a fun morning!
After an eventful Saturday morning we spent the evening relaxing at home.
On Sunday it was raining so we decided to head to the B&O Train Museum in Baltimore.
This museum was so much fun for the girls and for us. The museum is located in an old round house and it is completely full of old trains, many of which we could climb on and explore. Here are a few more pictures from the museum...
On Monday morning Pepe joined me at Kera's swim class. Kera really liked having Pepe there and she did a great job at swim!
After swim Burrs took Abby to the garden center to buy some plants. They were going to make a ferry garden together.

...watching the ducks...
...and eating a delicious, but unhealthy, lunch at Chick and Ruth's.
Our busy morning wiped Kera out!Wednesday was my parents last full day with us and we spent it relaxing at home. On Wednesday morning I had a makeup swim class for Kera. When we got home I found Pepe, Burrs, and Abby playing outside with chalk and water.
It was such a nice day that we packed a picnic and headed out to our back yard. Pepe even took a little siesta.
After everyone had a nice nap we headed to our local playground. While we were there we ran into Abby's neighborhood friend Mason. He was a great help pulling Kera back home in the wagon.
My parents had a really early flight on Thursday morning, 6 am! It was a GREAT visit and the girls can't wait until they come back again...me too.
