Challenging Hike

On Saturday, March 21st we went up to Mt. Charleston for a hike. We decided to try a trail that we had not tried before, Trail Canyon Trail. It was a beautiful but challenging hike. It was only 4 miles round trip but the first 2 miles was up hill the entire time. There were a few complaints along the way but, the girls were amazed by the view on top.

There was even SNOW!

Trike-a-Thon

On Friday, March 20th Kera took park in the trike-a-thon at her school. The proceeds from the even go towards St. Jude. She had done it last year with Abby...

...and she was looking forward to doing it again. Ok...she was MOST excited about showing her teachers that she could ride her bike without training wheels. She was the only preschooler in her school that could. She was so proud of herself!

After the event the kids were treated to a snow cone. I think she liked it!

Kera's 1st School Picture

In early February Kera had her first school picture taken. It took us a while to get the prints back but, she sure looks super cute!

Even though Kera looks adorable the picture is REALLY funny to me. We live in Las Vegas...where did the barn, grass, and all the flowers come from? I had asked for just a plain background but I was not given an option. Well, at least it is a good picture of her.

Irish Shenanigans

St. Patrick's day is one of our favorite holidays...actually, it might BE our favorite holiday. We love getting into the Irish spirit!

This year we decided to have a few fiends over to help us celebrate and we pulled out all of our Irish tricks.

Green Beer

2 types of homemade pasties, beef and potato...

...and cheeses and onion.

We also had beef stew, Irish soda bread, green cookies and much more!

Don't forget the Irish car bombs!

For the kids, we had all the supplies to make leprechaun traps.

I think this year's trap is our best yet! We added some new features this year like a net inside and some bells in the door way. We are going to catch him for sure this year!

The party was a great success...even though we all stayed up WAY to late!

St. Patrick's Day eve we were very excited to set our leprechaun trap.

When we woke-up on St. Patrick's day we were disappointed to find that we didn't catch him again this year BUT..some other pretty amazing things happened.

We left him a shot of whisky and he left us two sacks of ACTUAL Irish coins, some pretty jeweled bracelets for the girls, and some gold chocolate coins.

It also looked like our trap sort of worked because some of the leprechaun's hair got caught in the tape AND he left his walking stick behind!

He also left us some Lucky Charms!

Our crazy leprechaun also played some tricks on us...He turned our milk green.

He turned all our night lights green.

Kera found crate paper all over her bed...

...and Abby could not get out her door.

Our leprechaun was VERY busy! He also put a mustache on Kera's baby...

The net that was in the trap was found on the back of Kera's door.

The bells that were in the doorway of the trap were now on Abby's Calico.

He also had fun with green nail polish.

 Even Chewy wasn't safe!

After all of this craziness it was finally time to get ready for school...

...get lunches packed...

...eat our Lucky Charms...

...and head out for the day! Another VERY fun St. Patrick's day in the books!

A Date with Cinderella and Friends

On Friday, March 15th we met some friends for dinner and a the new Cinderella movie.

As you can see...

...the girls had an amazing time.

Good thing that they liked the movie because on the 22nd we went and saw it again for a friend's birthday.

DST Swim

What better way to celebrate Day Light Savings time then with a swim in the pool. The water was cold but the girls didn't care!

So happy the longer days are back!
