...on November 19th we FINALLY got the keys to our new house.
As soon as we moved in the mad rush began to get unpacked as quickly as possible. Joe and Remy were with us for Thanksgiving and I didn't want the house to look like a war zone.
In the middle of unpacking we did take a break to have brunch with my cousin Corey and his wife Elaina. They were in town for a bit of fun but we were able to meet up with them for a bit.
Abby now has her very own bathroom...she LOVES it!
On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Joe and Remy became our first official visitors...and yes, we did get most of the boxes unpacked before they got here.
The last several years in Naperville Thanksgiving morning meant the turkey trot. This year, it meant a hike up Lone mountain. It was a 1 mile hike but, it was all up hill!
But, the view from the top was amazing...
After our hike it was time for dinner.
Abby was a big fan of the turkey, cranberries, and mashed potatoes!
On Friday we explored Red Rock Canyon. It was so much fun climbing all over the rocks.
Abby was so relaxed in the fresh air that she took a little snooze.
Friday was an amazing day for Abby; she took her first unassisted steps!

On Saturday night we headed to the Hofbrauhaus. Jim, Abby, and I had been there before and Abby love the German polka music and...
...the beer of course.
We had a great Thanks giving with Joe and Remy and Abby is definitely going to miss her play mates.
