Abby was excited for her first day but, she was also nervous.
Abby is only in school from 9 am to 11:40 so, they do not have lunch but...she does get to bring a snack. For her first day, yogurt covered pretzels.
The one thing that she was definitely excited about we her new backpack!
Just like he did with Kera, Jim went in to work a bit late so he could help drop Abby off on HER first day.
When did our girls get so big?
As the kids were lining up to go into their class all the little girls were very brave but almost all the little boys were crying. I actually got a little choked up watching the little boys being so concerned.
In she goes!
Abby did not know anyone in her class but, in the class next door was her friend Gracie. Abby and Gracie were in the same preschool class together last year. It is too bad that they are not in the same class this year but, she does get to see Gracie before school, during recess, and after school.
Abby enjoyed her first day of school! To celebrate...SLURPEES!
As you can see...the first day of school really wore her out!
Abby's school is only a mile way so on Wednesday we decided to walk to school.
The walk to school is really easy...it is all downhill. Good thing I brought the stroller for the walk back up the hill though because there is no way that Kera would have made it home without it. We are going to try to make a habit of walking to school once a week.
Where did the summer go? We were so busy it seemed to go by in a complete blur but, I am thrilled that both of the girls are enjoying school!
