Kera's 1st Dance Recital!

On Tuesday, June 16th Kera had her very first dance recital! This year her recital is to, Somewhere over the Rainbow.  But before the recital she had her dress rehearsal on Monday. Kera was SO EXCITED!

I was not allowed to watch her dress rehearsal but I do know that she was still a happy camper when she came back out.

On Tuesday before Kera's recital we had a chance to stop for a sweet treat...gelato!

I promised the girls one gelato cone each when they finish a library reading card; which equals reading 20 books. So far this summer they have earned 3 gelato cones.

Tuesday at 4 was Kera's recital. Unfortunately, Abby got sick last minute so, I was the only one able to attend. I am so sad that Abby and Jim didn't get to witness Kera's dance. She did an amazing job and had so much fun!

Hopefully next year the rest of the family can enjoy Kera's recital!

Weekend at the Rogers'

The weekend of June 13th and 14th was a fun and relaxing one.

On Saturday morning I took the girls to a friend's birthday party...

Girls...I think there is something on your face...
Saturday afternoon was a absolutely beautiful weather for a swim.

I think the highlight of the weekend for the girls was their bath. Yes, their bath.

We have lived in this house off and on since November 2009. Saturday, June 13th 2015 is the very first time the master bathtub has been used. As you can see the girls had a blast is the extra big bathtub. As soon as they got into the tub they started asking when they could take a bath in it again! Soon pretty ladies, soon.

Pepe and Burrs 1st Summer Visit

On Monday, June 8th Pepe and Burrs arrived in town.

As soon as they arrived Pepe and the girls set to work on a project...a big magnetic chalk board for outside.

The girls did a great job helping. Well..at least they had fun doing a project with Pepe.

On Monday night, it was time for a baseball game!

She girls favorite part...even if they don't show it very well (sorry for it being sideways).

On Tuesday we met up with Kera's school friends at a local park.

Unfortunately, our time at the park was cut short by a stomach bug. Poor dear Kera. She will not soon forget throwing up at the park.

One bright spot on the day...the magnetic chalk board was completed.

Luckily the sickness only lasted one day because the next day Kera was up and ready to go! First stop, ballet.

With Dorothy picture redoes...

...and an Alice in Wonderland costume.

Next on the day's agenda, the Natural History Museum with our friends Jenn, Mia, and Jovie.

On Thursday it was finally time for Abby and my date!

First stop, Starbucks!!

Next, our plan was to go to an indoor rock climbing. But, when we got there a kids day camp had just starting climbing. The staff suggested that we come back around 2 in order for us to have a better and less crowded experience. So, were left wondering...what should we do? First, we went to a local toy store to buy a birthday present for a friend. Next, we went to Barnes and Noble to buy some summer workbooks.

We HAD to get a Star Wars one...of course!

After Barnes and Noble we headed to Panera for lunch.

At lunch Abby decided that she didn't want to go climbing after all...she got too nervous about not being able to do it...so, we decided to go to Shark Reef instead.

I had a fun day with my beautiful girl!

And, we still had time to swim, with Pepe and Burrs!

On Friday it was time for Pepe and Burrs to head home but, they will be back in just over a month. See you soon Pepe and Burrs!!

STAR WARS!

The girls have been obsessed with Star Wars lately! OBSESSED!! To help full their obsession we made a few new purchases today...

So much fun!

May the Force be with you.

Abby's Last Day of Kindergarten

Thursday, June 4th was Abby's last day of kindergarten. The year really flew by!

First day of kindergarten...

Last day...

First stop for the day, DONUTS!!

Then, off to school.

Last line up of the year!

After school we headed to one of our favorite playgrounds to meet up with a bunch of our friends from different schools. Let summer begin!!!

It was also on this day that I also found out, after try number 2, that I was excepted to Nevada State College's School of Education. What better way to celebrate then a birthday dinner out for my friend Megan...

and, a 3 hour date game.
