My Beautiful Dancing Fairies...

My beautiful dancing fairies on a wonderful spring day (4/27)!

Jo Ann's Visit (Part 2)

On Monday, April 21st Jo Ann, the girls and I went on a school field trip to the Anderson Dairy. Amazingly, the Anderson Dairy has been in the valley for over 100 years. The location we went to did not have cows but, they processed the milk into jugs and also into ice cream.

The best thing about the tour...free ice cream!

On Tuesday, Jo Ann joined us and my mom's group to JR Ponies. JR Ponies is a very random little pony farm in the middle of the city. I would have never guessed it was there if it was not for my mom group but, we will definitely be back! We had a great time riding ponies and seeing the other animals on the farm. For five dollars a piece the girls could rides the ponies as many times as they would like...for Abby that was 5 rides and for Kera it was 4. Here are a few picture from our fun morning...

After the ponies my friend Amy drove us past one of Siegfried and Roy's houses that happened to be near by. They don't live there now but you could tell it was their place from all the golden lion statues...on EVERY post.

On Tuesday night Jim and Jo Ann finally had a date. The first time Jo Ann came to town we went to see the showgirls at Jubilee. On Jo Ann's 2nd visit we went to Beatles Love. After Jo Ann and my second show Jim started to become jealous and he told me that on Jo Ann's next visit it was his turn.

Jim's version of his Tuesday night with Jo Ann...

Well...I'm not a big Elton John fan, but the chance to hang out with Jo Ann made it all worthwhile.  We had a nice dinner before the show at Gordon Ramsey's restaurant.  My only complaint is that Las Vegas is a rip off!!  2 drinks...$32...  We then made our way to the concert hall for a GREAT performance by Elton John and it was such fun to kick another item off of Jo Ann's BUCKET list, although I am not sure why she has a bucket list since Jo Ann is only in her 60's..I think she is milking it and I don't blame her!!  Overall, it was a great outing with  Jo Ann and we look forward to seeing her every year and more often if she wants to.

On Wednesday, while Abby was at school I attempted to take Kera and Jo Ann to the Secrete Garden to see dolphins and white tigers but....my timing was all off! I thought the garden opened at 10, (which already didn't leave us much time) but, I was wrong...it opened at 11. This made it impossible for us to go since Abby needed to be picked-up at 11:45. So, instead we walked around the Mirage. Not what we had planned but, at least we were out.

Kera relaxing on the Beatle's Love sign.
On Thursday morning we headed to Tivoli for storytime. Once storytime was over it was unfortunately time to take Jo Ann to the airport. It was another amazing visit and we can't wait to see her again soon!

BURRS! (Part 2)

On Wednesday, April 16 Jim arrived back home from his business trip also, Burrs the girls and I went to a fun Easter egg hunt and picnic at a local park. A very fun time was had by all!

After the Easter picnic we had a nice afternoon in the pool...

...and the girls and Burrs made cookies.

On Thursday, we headed to storytime and afterwards, Starbucks (of course).

Also on Thursday Jim and I got a new car, well...new to us. Our Nissan Pathfinder was spending too much time in the shop so, it was finally time to turn the old girl in. We are now the owners of a 2012 Honda Pilot and besides my sticker shock it is a great car.

Friday was the day my mom was headed back home but first...breakfast at the Cracked Egg...

...and one final group picture.

Thank you Burrs for the visit we can't wait to see you and Pepe at the end of May.
