Mother's Day Weekend
The weekend started off with Abby getting a new toy...a tunnel. She loves it and even though I put it way every night is is one of the first things that she wants me to open in the morning.
On Saturday afternoon we went on a great hike at Red Rock Canyon...we sure have gotten our moneys worth on the yearly pass. Even Chewy got to come along.
For dinner we headed to a Chicago style micro brewery complete with deep dish pizza. Jim really liked the beer and I really liked the junk food.
Baby Rogers #2
Here is a picture of Abby's ultra sound at the same age...
We are very much looking forward to meeting our new baby and seeing the similarities and differences between baby number 2 and Abby. We will have to wait until November to find out; my due date is November 11th.
A Visit From Frank
It took a bit for Abby to warm up to Frank again but once she did there was no separating them.
I was happily surprised when Abby grabbed a book and climbed into Franks lap!
It was GREAT to see Frank and we can't wait to see him again soon!

Grandma & Grandpa Suhler Come to Town
The first thing on my dad's priority list was getting into our pool. The water is not heated but he didn't care, he was determined to be the first one in. He went in twice a day almost every day that they were here...
On Friday morning we went to gymnastics. It was not one of Abby's best days in class but my parents got to see my little bundle of energy in action.
On Friday afternoon mom, Abby, and I went for a short hike at Red Rock Canyon. Dad stayed behind to work on some shelving that I asked him to build in the guest room and watch the 2nd round of the masters. It was a beautiful day for a hike.
On Saturday Jim and ad worked hard putting up shelves in the garage while mom and I played with Abby.
Sunday was mom's birthday. After a delicious breakfast of banana walnut pancakes we all got into the car and headed to Valley of Fire. We had heard a lot of great things about this park and it lived up to every word.

After Valley of Fire we rushed home to watch the back 9 of the Masters...at dad's request. For birthday dinner we headed out for Thai food. After dinner we did a driving tour of the strip and a walking tour of downtown Las Vegas. When we were in downtown Vegas dad turned to me and said, " This place is weird". Yes it is dad, yes it is.
On Monday my parents were not leaving until the evening so we headed to Pahrump to have lunch at the winery. Unfortunately the day we not so nice but we made the best of it.
We had another great visit and can't wait for our next time together!

Easter
Next it was off to a nice brunch at the Mt Charleston Lodge:
The funny thing about our breakfast is that we had made a reservation...at least we thought we had. When we Told the people at the reception desk that we had a reservation they looked at us a bit funny. Then, when we asked the waiter were the buffet was he told us that there wasn't one. It was then that we realized that our reservation was at the Mount Charleston Resort. We are so used to going to the lodge we assumed that is were we were going...WHOOPS! We felt bad about missing our reservation bur we still had a delicious brunch!
After brunch we headed back home for an Easter egg hunt with some of the other kids in the neighborhood.
