Father's Day and Chewy Turns 3!

This year marked Jim's first father's day! We had a very nice day of presents and a picnic. We stated out the day with a waffle breakfast and a few presents. Then we packed a picnic and headed to the Riverwalk...

After the picnic we walked around downtown Naperville and ended-up at Quigley's for an adult beverage...
We ended the night with home made pizza and a dvd. Happy father's day Jim! Thanks you for being such a FANTASTIC father to out little girl!!!

Our furry son, Chewy, turned 3 on Monday! I can't believe that he is 3 already. In honor of his birthday Billy gave him a bath...

A Day with the Webers and Harry Potter

Jim, Abby, and I had a great time on Sunday with our friends Frank and Manuela.

First, we went over to Frank and Manuela's house for a fantastic breakfast!

After breakfast we all headed to the Science and Industry museum in Chicago. The main purpose of our visit was to go see the Harry Potter exhibit...But, as you can imagine this is a very popular exhibit and we had to loiter around the museum before we could get into the exhibit. While we were waiting for our time with Harry Potter we revisited the model train exhibit. We had seen this exhibit once before but we HAD to see it again. The fun thing about this particular model train exhibit is that the train not only goes through Chicago...

but Seattle too...
At the museum we also found Jim's next car...

and we got a new perspective on earth...

There were no cameras allowed into the Harry Potter exhibit but it was great. It was also partially interactive. The experience started with the sorting hat and then we also got to pull-up a mandrake and throw a quidditch quaffle. The rest of the exhibit was filled with props and costumes from the movies...I got to sit in Hagrid's chair.

After the museum we headed to Gordon Biersch for dinner. It was a great day!

Last weekend we also got Abby a new toy...
As you can see, she is a happy girl!
