Easter

Our Easter festivities began on Friday, April 3rd with a neighborhood egg hunt with some of Abby's school and neighborhood friends.

After the egg hunt it was time for a picnic....

...of course with bunny sandwiches!

On Saturday we were off to another egg hunt with friends. This time with MANY more people and MANY more eggs.

On Saturday night we decorated our eggs for the Easter bunny.

Before the girls went to bed on Saturday night they left a carrot for the Easter bunny hoping for a visit. When they woke up on Sunday they were not disappointed.

Finally, it was time for our own egg hunt.

The girls were very thankful they both drew thank you notes for the Easter Bunny.

Next, it was off for our annual Easter hike up at Mount Charleston. It was a very windy day but, we still had fun!

Then it was off to the lodge.

For hot chocolate of course!

Another fun Easter in the books!

Ok...one more Easter thing. In Kera's ballet class the week after Easter they dressed up as Easter bunnies. All the little kiddos were so cute!

Spring Break

Spring break began on the afternoon of Friday, March 27th and on that day we got 6 new pets...Abby's class fish.

Abby's teacher, Mrs. Williams said we didn't have to bring them back after spring break so, we decided that they needed a housing upgrade.

Now that the fish are settled in...what better way to spend the first full day of spring break then, in the pool.

On Sunday the girls had another pool day while I was off taking a 4.5 hour test, my Praxis. I needed to take and pass a series of 3 test (reading, math, and writing) in order to officially apply for the teaching program at Nevada State. It was a very long day but I walked out of the testing center knowing that I passed the reading and math tests. I had to wait on my writing test score because there were 2 essays on it that needed to be reviewed.

On Sunday evening Jim finally got out his telescope that I bought him for his 40th birthday. Yes, it has been in a box in the garage for 4 years.

The moon truly is amazing!

On Wednesday the girls got to get all dresses up for a friend's birthday tea party, they had so much fun! Happy birthday Meredith!

On Thursday we met some friends (Jenn, Mia, and Jovie) for lunch and ice skating.

We have had a very busy but fun and productive spring break but it is not over yet. Next, is Easter!!
